I was very excited about the prospect of going out shopping for a Used Volvo with my son. I was making him buy the car with his own money. It had taken some time for him to save the money, which meant that he was seventeen going to buy a car instead of sixteen. He did have his license and he had been driving my car, but having his own car would be a whole new world. A year older would make him a year more responsible. I hoped that it was enough to ensure that he was responsible behind the wheel.
